What we've been up to

I haven't blogged for a while... frankly because I don't think there's much worthy of blogging about lately.  We still work, Blake still goes to school, and we're still madly in love of course :)  I suppose the most exciting thing that has happened is that we decided that I'd get my wedding dress out again and get more pictures taken in it.  Blake wanted some pictures for his portfolio so that my clients can hire him as a second photographer for their wedding day.  And rather than ask someone else to let him take their pictures, we decided I'd just model for him.  We're planning on doing this a few more times... maybe even in Hawaii.  What can I say?  Once I get some pretty pictures of me in the most beautiful piece of clothing I will ever own, I get a little greedy and want more :) I might even change up my look for the different shoots.  I thought I'd give the readers of my personal blog a little sneak peak of things to come.  Photography by Blake, editing by me.  I hope you like them as much as I do!  (By the way, I like comments on my blogs *hint hint*)

Holidays :)

Well, I suppose it's time I catch up my blog posts.

My birthday was on the 7th. :)  It didn't start out so great... fasting (which usually isn't a bad thing, but I was just sad that I don't get birthday breakfast, which was always a big deal in my family), Blake lost his keys at church so we had to walk home and back, and the sunbeams were crazy as usual.   But after all of that we went over to my parent's house, and they made me spaghetti with mizithra.  So yummy.  And of course my mom made my favorite: homemade oreo cheesecake!  And here's the goods...
Blake gave me nice rechargeable batteries and a charger for my flash, a program that lets me see thumbnails of RAW files (sooooo nice), and a monitor calibrator (so that my pictures will print true).  Plus he finally set up the old tv that his family gave to us.  It isn't connected to any channels, but now we can use our ClearPlay DVD player!
My parents gave me some really cute clothes and jewelry, plus lots of Red Vines, and a tripod (which we'll have to exchange because it only holds 1 lb, lol, not nearly enough for my camera).
The in-laws gave me a  new pair of SkullCandy earbuds.  My old ones had stopped working on one side.  I love these headphones so much.  They're great.
So basically it was an awesome birthday :)

Then a week later we had Valentine's Day.  Again we had the crazy kids, but it wasn't the worst it's been, lol.  After church there was a Grubbs family dinner, and after that we went home for sparkling apple-grape drink by candlelight.  Blake got me a beautiful orchid.  It has a white background covered with purple speckles.  It's pretty :)  It was the best Valentine's Day ever!

My husband is a sweetheart

Blake had a surprise for me this morning when I woke up.  He'd bought me a bouquet of pink stargazer lilies!  They smell like our wedding! (My bridal bouquet was white stargazers)  I love them so much!  I love Blake so much!  It's really special to me that he bought me flowers as an 'early birthday present' (2 weeks early), especially since he doesn't like spending money on frivolous things.  He gets major points from me :) I mean, what girl doesn't love getting flowers from the boy she loves?  :) :) :) :) :)
I LOVE YOU BLAKE!
Obviously I like them alot haha
