The Dress You'll Only Wear Once...

I seriously feel like I have the most boring life in the world to read about in a blog.  It's not that I don't enjoy my life, I am actually very happy with how things are right now.  It's just that I don't think you want to hear about what movie I watched the other day that I absolutely loved or how my latest wedding went or whatnot.  Pretty much all I do is work on business stuff, clean the house, and chill with Blake at home.  Seriously.  So that's why I don't blog so much.  I don't expect that to change anytime soon.  But, I do have some pictures to blog so that is fun, right?  I had the amazing Dustin Izatt take some wedding-type pictures because I wanted some more (and I especially wanted some with blossoms.) He did a great job and I'm glad I chose him.  He gave us almost 400 pictures (which is insane!!!), and he somehow had them all done in 2 days.  I don't know how this guy does it.  I've narrowed it down to my super-favorites here.

My mom decided to come along too for a couple pictures.  Just cause we could.

And guess what?  Next week we're getting back into the wedding clothes again to model for Jarvie's intern bootcamp.  Who says you only wear your wedding dress once?  This will be time number 7 for me!

Birthday fun

My 22nd birthday was last Monday, a week before Valentines as always.  I'm starting to feel old already.  We do 'birthday week' instead of just one day.  So we started it off on Sunday, with dinner at my parent's house after church.  My mom makes the best meal... we call it 'Olive Garden' because she makes a delicious alfredo sauce, gets breadsticks just like theirs (they're from Costco!) and buys their salad dressing.  It's seriously amazing!  There were also some games played and fun had.  Monday, my actual birthday was like this: I drove to campus to pick up Blake after his classes, and while I was there getting him Kailene just happened to walk by, and she even remembered it was my birthday!  That was pretty awesome.  I also got to finally (briefly) meet my Portland bride which was great too.  Then we went to Subway and then to the Eccles Dinosaur Park!  I hadn't been there for so long and I've been wanting to go forever.  It was so much fun!  Big surprise, we had the whole park completely to ourselves.  For some reason no one else wanted to go on a Monday early afternoon when it's cold and rainy.  :)  When we were done I dropped him off at his bus and he did his run.  When he got home we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory with my family.  It was so yummy!  Then we went to my parent's house for oreo cheesecake that Blake made (so good!) and presents!  Peeps gave me Edward Scissorhands and my favorite treat, Red Vines.  My parents gave me this really cute baroque-y mirror thing, an adorable dress, cute skirt, a fun frame... um I think that's all.  Blake got me giftcards to Olive Garden and the Old Spaghetti Factory (he bought that one while we were there, when he 'had to go to the bathroom' and stayed a really long time haha), Starcraft Battle Chest, and my second favorite treat Sour Patch Kids.  I was pretty excited.  :)  On Thursday dad took me to the new Harry Potter movie which I hadn't seen yet and then to Cafe Rio. On Friday my MIL took me to Costa Vida!  Then I spent the rest of the weekend doing things for Katie's wedding (in case you didn't know, I'm planning Blake's sister's wedding).  So meeting with the reception center people, then Katie got her endowments and we got to go (it was great), then Saturday was multiple showers and then working on the decorations.
Here's some pictures from the dinosaur park!

Yesterday for Valentine's Day I woke up with a sore throat and cough.  Oh yay.  So our valentine's wasn't quite so awesome.  But Blake did hide little chocolate kisses around the house for me to find when I woke up which was cute and he brought me home a giftcard to the Brick Oven!  Then he made me a spaghetti dinner and we went to bed at like 7 or 8 because I was so miserable and I had a horrible night and didn't sleep very well.  And I woke up today feeling even worse and sore everywhere... so we'll just have to do something fun later to make up for it.  Oh well.

Finishing up last year

So here's the noteworthy events of November and December:

Aaron left us for the MTC and then onto Boston for his mission.
Pretty momma
And there he goes....

Thanksgiving at the Hollands.  I would like to mention that my Oreo Pie was the first pie to get completely eaten.  Yes, I am proud of myself.

My mom took me, Peeps, and Grandma J for a night's stay at the Grand America.  Much fun was had.  I was very sad though because I ended up losing the brooch I wore on my wedding day while we were there :'(

They had jars of candy & gumballs all over the hotel that you could just take!  It was awesome.

The Annual Christmas Tea Party

And we got a Christmas Tree!  Aunt Carole was kind enough to give us her old tree that she was replacing.  I am very happy to have a tree now :)  I made some birds out of felt for the tree, and got some different birds as well.
